Our biscuits are true Northern biscuits, from our Canadian grandmother’s recipe which we adapted to include Maine-Grown Sifted Wheat flour, sweet cream + buttermilk. Our biscuits are heartier than their paler Southern cousins, with a sweet + nutty flavor, soft inside and crispy outside. Perfect with butter + jam or as a base for one of our outrageous biscuit sandwiches.

For our Gluten Free/Dairy-Free Friends: We offer an alternative biscuit made with gluten-free flour, almond milk + Earth Balance. We produce a limited number each week, so please call ahead to make sure they’re available. Keep in mind we are NOT a gluten free or dairy -free facility and while we do our best to isolate ingredients, there is likely to be some environmental exposure. If you are super-sensitive, please use your judgement, and ask us about available options.

Vegan Friends, our Chili, Home-fries and Salads are always vegan, and we can make adjustments to many other menu items. Please ask what’s available today!

Easy as Pie: Perfect Pie Crust Class Saturday August 17 3:30-5:30pm

Learn the secrets to making a foolproof pie crust every time! Enjoy wine or soft drinks and samples during an interactive dough-making demonstration, then get your hands in the dough to create your own mini pies and a batch of ready to roll pie dough to take home.

All ingredients, materials, recipes, take-home dough, snacks, samples and a beverage included.

Co-Owners Chef Erik Johannes and Stacy Cooper

Co-owners Stacy Cooper and Erik Johannes are passionately committed to serving hearty, wholesome food and creating a welcoming environment where hungry people can enjoy comfort food with a local twist.

It all started with an amazing Biscuit. In 2013, Stacy Cooper had adapted her Canadian grandmother’s biscuit recipe using Maine-grown wheat and other local ingredients. The result was a nutty, hearty biscuit everyone loved. “You should sell these!” they said. “Sure!’ she said. “It’ll be a nice little side business,” she said.

Just as Stacy was preparing to set up her Biscuit Stand at a nearby Farmer’s Market, The Heart of Biddeford announced a grant competition to encourage entrepreneurs to open businesses in empty downtown storefronts as part of a long-term revitalization plan.

Stacy was reluctant to apply at first, given her full time job as a corporate Training Consultant, but with encouragement from local business owners, family and friends, Stacy decided to take the plunge and after a Shark Tank style presentation, she won, and Biscuits & Company was born!

The doors opened in December 2014 with support from the local community and soon B&C became a local favorite,

Chef Erik Johannes joined Biscuits & Company in 2017, first as Executive Chef, then as business partner and co-owner. His creativity kitchen savvy and business experience helped streamline our operations and his love for good food is a perfect fit with the B&C vibe. Erik’s friendly welcome makes guests feel immediately at home.

Prior to joining B&C, Erik worked in the public school system for several years before returning to cooking, his first love. His eclectic experience as a chef has taken him from California to NYC, Europe, New Zealand and beyond. Closer to home, Erik owned Erik’s Lakeside Grill in Madawaska, ME and Murphy’s Pub in San Francisco CA..

Stacy & Erik believe that the food we eat is as important as the company we keep. Biscuits & Company is all about using the power of good food to bring people together, build community and create a little happiness in the world. .
